My brother brought up a good point last night, talking about the struggles of Brandon Phillips not only in 2009, but going back to the end of 2008.
Since August of 2008, Brandon Phillips is a whopping 35 for 173, or a .202 average, with 6 HR and 20 RBI’s (going into the 4/20 game at Houston). I realize he only played eight games in September, but he batted just .212 over 27 games in August.
As Franchester Brennaman would ask: How we lookin’? Not good…
