Stormy slamming the door

This season, the Reds are letting the fans decide the fourth bobblehead to be distributed on Saturday, July 18th vs. the Brewers.  The final bobblehead of the season will be a pitcher, and he will join Brandon Phillips, Joey Votto, and Jay Bruce.

I know, I know…the easy choice would be Edinson Volquez or Johnny Cueto or maybe even Homer Bailey.

But I am throwing my full support behind someone who will be four decades old this September.  Someone who is a man’s man and a ladies man.  One of the favorite interviews of the Cincinnati press for his candor, humor, and honesty.  And the only man that goes by ‘Stormy’.

That’s right Reds fans, we all need to vote for a David Weathers bobblehead.  This guy has gone out there and given his heart and soul to the Reds over the past four-plus seasons, and he is now entering his sixth season total with the Reds.  I know he receives the wrath of Reds fans now and then for his adventurous outings, but his ERA has been sub-4.00 the past four seasons (3.94, 3.54, 3.59, 3.25, respectively) and let’s face it…this might be the last chance ever for a Stormy bobblehead.

You can vote right here, once per day, until April 30th for Stormy to be the final bobblehead of 2009.  Let’s get out there and stuff that ballot box.
